I live with my wife Lori in the Des Moines, Iowa vicinity where I work for Pioneer Hi-Bred International as North America Sr. Agronomy Sciences Manager. Like me, Lori still regards the Park Rapids area as her home, even though she went to high school in southern Minnesota. Her parents had a cabin on Lake Belle Taine for more than 30 years and she spent most of her summers there growing up. Her first experience with Carter's was picking strawberries at the farm with her family in the 1960s!
Lori and I acquired a place on Lake Belle Taine next to the place her parents owned and we both enjoy spending as much time as possible there. Lori and our youngest daughter, Carrie, look forward to spending much of the summer there and I will get there often. Carrie will work at Carter's Red Wagon Farm Market this summer before beginning her sophomore year at Bethel University in St. Paul.
Our other children are Andrew and Mary Joy. Andrew is a Captain in the Army and is stationed at Ft. Hood Texas but is currently in his second deployment in Iraq.
Mary Joy and her husband Jim will also soon move to Texas, where Jim will begin service in the Army as a JAG officer (attorney) at Fort Hood. Jim is scheduled to deploy to Iraq in January
