Melons cannot be canned, but you can freeze all types of melons. However, it is recommended that you serve them before they are fully thawed as the crispy texture associated with melons does not last when freezing melons.
You can slice, cube, or ball melon before packing them in freezer containers. If you prefer, you can add a 30 percent cold syrup in the containers before freezing.
