School and Daycare Tours
Red Wagon Farm was started by Russell and Maxine Carter in 1956, first selling vegetables from a small red wagon at the side of the road. Today, we grow a large variety of non-GMO fresh fruits and vegetables grown using organic methods, as well as hormone-free, antibiotic-free, grass fed beef. It is the story of the American family farm, and a story we love to share with hands-on experiences for children and students that come to visit.
Tours, by appointment only, include a wagon ride and participation in most of the seasonal fall activities at the farm. Children also leave with a small pumpkin. A picnic area can be reserved with advance notice (please bring your own food/beverages). Our tours this year will be on Friday, October 6; Thursday, October 12; and Friday, October 27, 2017. The price is $6.50 per child over age 1, and we allow one free adult for every five paying children. Additional adults are $6.50. We do require a non-refundable deposit for groups of 15 or more. We do not accept purchase orders.
